At the 32-team Beast of the East Tournament, Brunswick won its first four games to advance to the championship on Saturday. In the title tilt, the Bruins fell to Wilson High School, 8-3, in the Warriors’ home pool, outside of Reading, Pennsylvania.
Despite the final-round setback to Wilson High School, the Bruins finished with a 4-1 record during the two-day tournament. Leading Brunswick were Thacher Scannell (11 goals), Kyle Yelensky (10 goals) and Keegan Drew (eight goals), while Christisan Hartch collected 21 saves.
Brunswick (8-1) stays on the road for its next contest, traveling across town to face local rival Greenwich High School on Tuesday, October 3.
