Brunswick Faculty Institute

In the words of Headmaster Tom Philip, “The Faculty Institute will be truly unique to Brunswick. We’re so proud of our faculty. We need to make sure we build into their cycle of experience opportunities for updating and renewing enthusiasm for their craft…”

As envisioned, the BFI is a year-long, in-house professional development program beginning at the start of the academic year and ending with a 3-day intensive session the following June. The main purpose of this initiative is to provide an opportunity for teachers to meet as a community of educators in order to share ideas, to discuss issues involving "Teaching & Learning," and to engage in meaningful, relevant workshops. Ultimately, the BFI places teachers in a position to learn from each other. Also embedded in the program is the "BFI Lecture Series," where noted speakers from the field of education are invited to campus to provide insight throughout the year.
