Kempo Karate at BASE PK/K ( $200 )

Description: Kempo Karate is an excellent activity to start at an early age, and moreover the martial arts help to develop self-confidence, focus, discipline, respect and benevolence for others. In a fun and controlled environment students will build motor skills by learning a series of punches, kicks and blocks. Throughout the course important character building lessons are incorporated. Our pre-school/kindergarten classes focus on developing gross motor skills and self-control, whereas classes with older children emphasize fine motor skills, balance, strength, conditioning and mastery of oneself. Participants will have no physical contact during the session. Students should wear comfortable clothes and sneakers. All new students will receive a white Karate belt at start of program. Throughout the course of the program, all eligible students will be invited to earn their next colored belt at a belt rank testing, hosted at the Greenwich Kempo dojo.
Know Your Throw ( $200 )

Description: Know Your Throw will give students the chance to practice and learn more about how to throw baseballs, footballs, etc. By fostering a fun, team driven environment students will get to practice partner and group throwing drills that accompany these different sports. Students might also get the chance to play with former professional athletes from Brunswick alum, parents, and faculty.

Description: Do you like working with your hands? Using tools to create and build? Interested in whittling and tinkering? If you are, join us for Shop class and learn how to use hand tools and build some cool stuff! Dismissal for this activity takes place at the Lower School. Price includes $25 materials fee.
French Club ( $200 )

Description: Bonjour et bienvenue au club français de Brunswick! This club will explore the French language and culture through music, activity and creation. Students will learn introductory words and phrases that include but are not limited to topics like greetings, weather, numbers, animals, colors, and sports.

Let Grow Play Club ( 3, 4 )

Description: Unlock your child's curiosity and self-confidence through unstructured, creative play! Using curriculum and ideas from the non-profit organization, Let Grow, the boys will practice self-reliance and resourcefulness with opportunities to bond, build self-control, be creative, and feel joy through free play and optional at-home projects. Let Grow's mission is to "give kids back the developmentally crucial 'vitamin' our culture accidently removed from childhood—independence." After joining this club, you might hear "I'M BORED!" a little less often. Dismissal for this activity will be at the Lower School.
Extended Day Thursday ( $160, $320, $540 )

Description: Extended Day is a supervised, unstructured program at the end of the school day that is an opportunity for the boys to participate in free play, arts & crafts, homework help, puzzles and games, and much more while providing families in need with additional coverage beyond the school day and B.A.S.E. Encore enrichment activities. Extended Day may be "added on" following the conclusion of your son's enrichment activity. Due to space restrictions, please consider that space in Extended Day is limited and if necessary priority will be given to those families with no alternate childcare. You may register for an Extended Day pickup time of 3:45p (PK/K only), 4:30p, or 5:30p. You will not be “double charged” if you are adding Extended Day to an Encore activity. Price shown is for PK/K. Extended Day charges will be adjusted before posting if necessary, based on grade-level and participation in Encore activity.
