  • Who does the BWC help?

The goal of the Center is to provide writing help for freshmen and sophomores.
  • How does it work?

Begin by making an appointment using this simple form.  Mr. McMahon will pair you with an available advisor as soon as possible.  You'll then receive an email with a Google Calendar appointment.  Click accept and you're ready to go!
  • Can I cancel or re-schedule?

Yes.  If you can't make the appointment you should either cancel the calendar appointment or email Mr. McMahon.
  • Can I make an appointment for the same day?

This is discouraged!  Due to expected high demand, you should request appointments at least several days ahead of time.  However, Mr. McMahon will make every effort to pair you with a free advisor, no matter the lead time.
  • How much work should I bring to an appointment?

Advisors are prepared to work with you at all stages of the writing process.  That said, please bring something to the appointment, even if you only have ideas jotted down for a potential thesis.
  • Where is the Writing Center?

The Writing Center is located outside the English Office.
