Seniors Honored, Win Against Hopkins

Brunswick hosted Hopkins on Saturday afternoon for the last meet of the dual meet season, Senior Day, and the last home meet of the team’s 10th season at the Mehra Natatorium. 'Wick bested Hopkins in all 11 events on the way to a 95-66 victory.

The Bruins celebrated the careers of seven seniors, and all in attendance had the privilege of seeing the return of Jack Morningstar, Justin Norton, and Andrew Rodriguez to the pool. They joined Ryan Ohl, and captains JP Lavin, Andrew Tu, and Ben Wu to lead the team to an 11-event sweep of Division I rival Hopkins school en route to a 95-66 win.

The day capped the 10th season at the Mehra Natatorium for Brunswick swimming. The boys ended the 2023-2024 campaign with a 7-1 record, which brought the team’s 10-year record to 78-9. It has been a decade of some pretty fast swimming at the "Nat."

With the dual meet season officially over, the team has three championship meets on the horizon: FAA Championships, Eastern Interscholastic Champs (formerly prep school nationals), and NEPSAC Championships. The Bruins are traveling to New Haven next weekend to compete for their sixth FAA Championship in the past eight years.
