'Wick Puck Earns League Victory

Brunswick returned home after a four-day stay in Canada and eked out a 3-1 league win against Lawrenceville on Wednesday evening at Hartong Rink. 

It's always a tough environment – a weekday without many fans in the stands – and the Bruins struggled to create energy and separate from the Big Red after netting two in the first period (both by senior Brendan Giles). 

L'ville got one back in the second and had a few chances to knot the contest before 'Wick sealed its 19th victory of the season on a tally by senior co-captain Sean Gibbons.

Sophomore Dylan Lee-Stack was his steady and confident self between the pipes and earned the W with 28 saves. 

The Bruins host South Kent on Friday at 5 p.m.
