Brunswick fell to Berkshire by a score of 60-45 on Saturday afternoon in Sheffield, Mass.
Berkshire maintained a sizable lead for the first ten minutes of the first half until Brunswick sped up play with full court defensive pressure, creating turnovers and capitalizing on them offensively.
After trailing 27-22 at the break, the Bruins started the second half with a 10-5 run, leaving the game tied at 32. After trading baskets for the next several minutes, Brunswick wasn’t able to maintain its momentum, while Berkshire got hot at the right time to build a lead. With the game still up for grabs in the final minutes, the Bruins defense kept them within striking distance, but they couldn’t close the gap offensively.
JP Pray and Jack Stevens had eight points apiece. Matty Augustine and Lee Huffard both added seven.
The Bruins return to action next Saturday against Salisbury at Dann Gym.
