Kakoma Takes Silver at New England Fall Championships

While Saturday's Head of the Housatonic Regatta was canceled, Brunswick was able to bring one single sculler to Worcester on Sunday for the 14th Annual New England Jr / High School / Masters Fall Championships.
 
Mark Kakoma '24 represented Brunswick well in taking a silver medal in the Mens Jr/HS 1x (single scull). Kakoma had to start at the back of the pack, passing several scullers over the 2.6 mile course on Lake Quinsigamond. When the final times were posted, Kakoma was less than 3 seconds back of the winner, but almost 30 seconds ahead of the bronze medalist.
