The varsity baseball team swept Saturday's double header against Fieldston by the scores of 13-3 in game 1 and 8-0 in game 2.
In game one, Brunswick’s offense was led by Riley Redahan, who went 3-for-3 and two RBI’s; Boston Flannery, who went 2-for-2 including a home run in the third inning; and Alexander Giannuzzi, who had a double with an RBI.
Michael Yeager pitched four strong innings allowing no hits, striking out 10, and walking one. Jurgis Schmedlen came in to shut the door allowing three runs on one hit in one full inning of work.
In game two, Jackson Shepelsky pitched five strong innings giving up only two hits and striking out six. Redahan, Yeager, Jerry Guzman, Reed Hyde, Carlo Tucci, and Schmedlen each recorded a hit, including a two-run blast by Guzman.
The Bruins will have their toughest week to date, as they take on Citius Prep on Monday, Poly Prep on Wednesday, St. Luke’s on Friday, and Avon on Saturday.
