Brunswick tennis hosted St. Luke's in its first FAA match of the season on Tuesday afternoon and won 7-0.
All seven matches went out at once since the FAA format does not utilize "repeats."
With most of the matches going Brunswick's way at the beginning, the Bruins clinched the match early on with some comfortable wins in singles and doubles. The last two matches on court were #1 doubles and #1 singles.
Sophomore Caleb Zimmerman was playing #1 singles and found himself in a hole at 0-4 and 2-5 in the first set. But his opponent's hot streak began to cool down, and Zimmerman's performance also became steadier and stronger. After coming back to take the first set in a tiebreak, he finished off the second set 6-2.
