Brunswick scored four goals in the second period — three of which came on a five-minute New Hampton major penalty — and added one more in the third to skate away with a 5-0 win on Sunday at the Exeter Invitational.
After a scoreless first frame, with both squads seeing their share of scoring chances, sophomore Tucker Spiess one-timed home a great feed from junior linemate Ryan Wachtel to break the deadlock — and then the Bruins’ PP went to work after a Husky went to the box to serve a major boarding call midway through the frame.
Seniors Sloan Farmer and James Shannon, along with junior Luke Drury, all found the back of the net on the extended man advantage — and helped keep the power play perfect on the weekend.
4-0 Bruins after two.
Senior Daniel Hu finished the afternoon’s scoring in the third with a hard snapper to the top corner after a nice individual rush.
Junior Will Baker was rock solid in between the pipes to earn the shutout.
