Hosted once again by Sail Black Rock, 10 teams from Connecticut, and one visiting from New York, competed in the Z420s of Fairfield and Sacred Heart Universities. The conditions remained consistent throughout the day, with a steady Easterly breeze of 10-15 knots. Due to rough conditions on the sound, the race course was set up in the protected area of Black Rock Harbor. Each division competed in seven races on the course stretching as far as possible between the two land barriers. Brunswick Sailing entered two teams into the State Championship Regatta. Each team consisted of two skippers racing in an A and B division, and both teams remained in the top 4 all day. This regatta provided all 4 of the Brunswick skippers with an opportunity to compete and enhance their experience on the bigger stage of fleet racing.
