Varsity Tennis Loses Tight Contest at Andover

An experimental roster lost a very close match 3-4 at Andover on Friday afternoon.

The varsity tennis team may not have been at full strength on this day, but they were determined to rise to the challenge. Some senior leaders paved the way and other players new to the starting lineup gained a lot of experience. After winning the much-needed doubles point, it was a positive start. 
However, we would soon lose 3 of the singles matches and were forced to win out on the remaining courts.
#1 Evan Lee (SR) pulled one back, followed by #4 Edward Nagler (SR). 
#6 Johhny Riehl was the last match on court. Having lost the first set in a tiebreak, he drew level after winning the second set. The match was going so long that we were losing light, and after the deciding super-tiebreaker had already begun, we had to move indoors to a different surface. With home court advantage the Andover player was determined to stay ahead and eventually secured the deciding match.

#6. Johhny Riehl lost 6-7, 6-4, 6-10
