Upper Schoolers Showcase 'Adaptability' at Lower School
Upper School boys visited the Lower School to help their younger counterparts foster an understanding of “adaptability” on Friday, April 13.
The event followed suit with this year’s Lower School theme — “The Power of Words” — and encouraged all participants to practice “adaptability” in their everyday interactions and activities, both in school and at home.
Sixteen Upper School boys facilitated the exercises by leading Lower Schoolers through five stations of discussions, activities, and games.
By day's end, students were given a clear definition and concept of adaptability (using animals and human invention as models); they were forced to simulate how they must adapt when their sense of hearing or sight has been impeded; and they saw the consequences of being a flexible thinker who can adapt to find an alternate plan versus one who cannot.
