Despite the Bruins sinking a dozen three-pointers, Hamden Hall pulled out a 74-63 FAA victory over Brunswick on Friday in Hamden. The Bruins (6-11, 5-7) travel to Hotchkiss on Saturday, February 11, for a non-league game.
The Hornets (15-5, 9-3) shot an impressive .443 from the field (27-61), while holding a 40-28 advantage over the Bruins on the glass.
Hamden Hall jumped out the an early first half lead before the Bruins came back in the later minutes of the opening stanza. The Hornets countered with a decisive run, taking a 40-32 lead into the half.
The Hornet lead grew to double-figures in the second half, as the hosts coasted to the 74-63 final.
Will Marvin connected on five three-pointers on his way to a team-best 19 points and six rebounds, while Charlie Sealy netted 10 points and six boards to pace the Bruins.
