Brunswick earned its first win of the young season on Tuesday at Rye Country Day by a score of 73-44.
The Bruins opened the game on a commanding 16-0 run and never looked back. They capitalized on high percentage looks from beyond the arc and pushed the pace all afternoon, resulting in easy buckets in transition.
Brunswick’s bench players took advantage of extended minutes as they maintained and ultimately increased the lead the starting unit built. At the start of a four game in five day stretch, it was welcome rest for legs that will be tested over the course of the week.
Jack Stevens led the way with 17 points. Connor Robinson had 16 and Ethan Long added 15.
The Bruins are in Dann Gym on Wednesday for their home opener against Avon at 4:30 p.m.
