Michael Yeager shut down Hopkins School, throwing a complete game shutout and leading the Bruins to a 10-0 victory on Friday.
In the first inning, the Bruins got their offense started when Adonys Guzman homered on a 3-1 count, scoring two runs.
Brunswick tallied an additional four runs in the fifth inning. The batters contributing to the big inning included Jerry Guzman, Reed Hyde, Riley Redahan, and Sam Sealy, all knocking in runs.
Yeager lasted all five innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out eight.
Cole Mascolo added a homer in the second inning.
Redahan also contributed to ‘Wick’s big day at the plate with two hits in four at bats.
The Bruins are back in action on Saturday with a double header against Fieldston School. The first pitch of game one is set for 1 p.m. and the second game will follow roughly 30 minutes after the first game concludes.
