Brunswick faced a determined RCDS squad on Monday at SUNY Purchase but held off the Wildcats for a 5-2 win in FAA action. The hard-fought victory gives the Bruins an 11-0 mark overall and a 5-0 record in FAA play.
The Bruins took three points at #2, #3 and #4 singles, but RCDS took a pair of doubles matches and forced Brunswick’s #1, Willie Turchetta, into a third-set tiebreaker that Turchetta won, 10-8.
The Bruins have two more matches in the next two days, as they wrap up the FAA slate on Tuesday, May 8, with a match at Masters and host a non-league contest against Taft on Wednesday, May 9.
