Brunswick ‘A’ Squash Advances to National Quarterfinals, while ‘B’ Falls in Opener

Top-seeded Brunswick ‘A’ swept Shipley (Pa.) by a 7-0 score in the opening round of the 2018 HEAD U.S. High School Team Championships on Friday, at the Philadelphia Cricket Club. In the bottom half of the 16-team draw, the Brunswick ‘B’ team fell to #3 Avon Old Farms, 5-2.

With the win, the 9-0 Bruins ‘A’ squad advances to play McDonogh (Md.) in the quarterfinal round of the Division I bracket on Saturday, February 3, at 8:00 a.m., while the ‘B’ team heads to the consolation round to face Brooks (Mass.) on later on Friday at 4:00 p.m.

In the ‘A’ match, the Bruins did not lose a single game to Shipley across seven individual contests.
