Salisbury topped Brunswick in a 1,500-meter Varsity Eight race at Lake Washinee on Saturday, as the Knights retained the Curtis Cup, tying the series between the two schools at six wins apiece. The Bruins took top honors in the Second Varsity race, while earning the top two spots in the third race of the day.

A strong cross-head wind, especially during first third of the race, was a factor for all the boats, as gusts topped 20 mph on the water.
In the key Curtis Cup race, Salisbury finished the course in a winning time of 4:58.4, while the Bruins crossed the line in 5:03.2.
