Brunswick competed against Taft and Kingswood-Oxford on Saturday, finishing in second place while excelling in the distance and hurdle races.
Leading point earners were Nathan Lee, first in the 1500 and 3000; Patch Leonard, first in the 100 and 300 hurdles; and Declan Cunninham, first in the high jump and second in the 100 and 300 hurdles.
The following athletes earned second-place finishes: Teddy Hojlo in the 1500 and 3000, Luke Dougherty in the 800, Luke Brooks in the Javelin, Tyler Lloyd in the Long Jump, Teo Ocana in the Triple Jump, and Ben Taylor in the 400.
The highlight of the meet, if not the year, was Lee's remarkable performance. His time of 4:07.35 in the 1500 was a school record, and he nearly broke his own school record in the 3000 with a time of 8:59.16.
The team's last meet before FAAs is this Wednesday at home.
