Glassman Throws Perfect Game, Bruins Top St. Luke's

Bolstered by a perfect game on the mound by Calder Glassman, the Bruins continued their win streak in the FAA, as they topped St. Luke's by the score of 4-0 on Tuesday.  

It was a real pitchers' duel, as both starters refused to give in to the opposition.  

Throwing a perfect game (21 up, 21 down) may be the most difficult thing to do in sports, but Glassman had everything going for him as he accomplished the rare feat. The senior right-hander pounded the zone, and his change up and curveball complemented his fastball. He struck out 12.  

The Bruins offense was sparse, but they found a way to get runs across the plate. In the second inning, Reed Hyde scored the first run, as Carlo Tucci had a one-run single.
 
In the sixth inning, the home team tacked on three more insurance runs. Alex Giannuzzi got it going with a single to score Michael Yeager. Jackson Shepelsky had a sac fly, scoring Jerry Guzman. And the final run came from Tucci's second single of the day, as Giannuzzi came around to score.  

All in all, it was a well played game by the Bruins. Next up, Brunswick travels to Hartford's Dunkin' Park to play Avon Old Farms, under the lights on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m., in what is sure to be a great event.
