Wrestling Earns Another Win at NYMA

Brunswick (17-2) closed out its regular season on the road with a 54-19 win over New York Military Academy (NYMA). The 2023-2024 season makes it 42 years in a row with a winning record for Brunswick wrestling.
 
The dual meet started at the 106 lb. weight class where Owen Bartoszek '27 came out of the blocks and got a first period pin for Brunswick. The teams split the next two matches. Then at 126 lb., Marco Sethi '27 was in control the entire match and earned a solid 7-0 decision.
 
At 132 lb. and 138 lb., co-captain Michael Accetta '24 and Ethan Phelps '26 both pinned their opponents in the first period.
 
In the upper weights, Jake Greene '26 shined as he dug deep to grit out a 10-3 victory at 190 lb.
 
The team will next compete at the Western New England (WNEISWA) Championships on Saturday, February 10th at Greens Farms Academy.
