Ben Wu '24 Swims an All-American Consideration 100 Butterfly

Brunswick faced Division 1 rival Suffield Academy at the Mehra Natatorium on Saturday afternoon. The team continues to experiment with line-ups and event diversity, and the Bruins were challenged by some very strong Suffield competition.

Senior captain Ben Wu led the way with two event wins in the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly.

His time in the 100 Fly was 48.71, and while he just missed the Brunswick pool record, his swim was fast enough to earn an All-American Consideration time. The boys won seven of the 11 swimming events including sweeps in the 50FR and 500FR which showed great depth in both sprint and distance events. The meet ended with Brunswick on top with a score of 101 to 79.

The last meet of the season and Senior Recognition night is next Saturday against Hopkins.
