Brunswick took 2nd place in a field of 23 schools at the 'Battle on the Bay' at Tabor Academy. Ten Brunswick wrestlers placed top six in their respective weight classes.
Jack Degl '25 (8-1), wrestling up at 175 lb., was the lone champion for the Bruins. Three other Brunswick wrestlers also made the finals -- co-captain Michael Accetta '24 (10-1) at 132 lb., Alec Harned '26 (10-1) at 144 lb., and co-captain Kyle Pagnani '24 (8-2) at 157 lb.
Two Bruin lightweights both took 4th place: Owen Bartoszek '27 (8-2) at 106 lb. and Christian Yanoti '25 (8-4) at 113 lb.
Co-captain Whip Gorman '24 (4-2) at 165 lb., Declan Murray '25 (7-5) at 215 lb., and Michael Marini '26 (8-3) at 285 lb. each won their final match of the day to earn 5th place. Jake Greene '26 (2-3) took 6th place at 190 lb. in his first competition of the season. Ethan Phelps '26 (4-5) won two bouts at 138 lb. and Marco Sethi '27 (7-3) added another at 126 lb.
