The Bruins earned a hard-fought 5-2 victory over a talented GFA team on Wednesday afternoon at home.
This would potentially be the pinnacle of the FAA league competition. The players from both teams didn't disappoint as they put on a display of high-quality tennis. The first four singles and the 3rd doubles were the first to take the courts.
#3 doubles would finish first with Brunswick taking the lead 1-0, followed by #3 singles with GFA leveling the match 1-1. At this point, the #1, 2, and 4 singles were all enduring intense rallies and battling through grueling points.
The Bruins would eventually win at both #2 and #4 in 3rd set super-tiebreakers. Brunswick was now leading 3-1.
GFA pulled one back as their #1 would also secure victory in a 3rd set super tiebreaker.
However, Brunswick seemed to be in control of both the #1 and #2 doubles matches. Both doubles teams would eventually win in straight sets to give Brunswick a 3-0 record in the FAA league.
