Brunswick competed at the Thomas Eakins Head of the Schuylkill Regatta, one of the large classic regattas on the fall head race circuit, on Sunday in Philadelphia.
Six Bruin scullers raced in the Jim Barker Mens High School Singles, the most singles entries Brunswick has ever raced at a regatta.
Sam Subramaniam ‘23 earned a silver medal in a time of 14:21.2. Will Baxter ‘22 and Robert Jacobson ‘22 were 8th and 11th of the 24 scullers in the varsity category.
Henry Sorbaro ‘23 earned a bronze medal while Kiran Marsh ‘24 and Lucas Tan ‘24 were 11th and 15th of 23 in the JV category.
In the Mens High School Four w/ Cox category, Brunswick’s crew (Max Konzerowsky ‘22, Peter Kapp ‘22, Henry Andren ‘24, Jimmy Cabot ’23, and Ruffin Bryant ‘23) took 4th place, just 2.3 seconds out of the medals in an extremely competitive field of 53 crews, which saw a couple of the top three eights in the country split into fours.
To close the day, Brunswick raced the Mens High School Eights. The crew (Max Konzerowsky ‘22, Peter Kapp ‘22, Henry Andren ‘24, Jimmy Cabot ‘23, Ruffin Bryant ‘23, Ben Packer ‘22, Theo Evans ‘22, Jamie Gibbons ‘22, and Campbell Officer ‘23) took 8th of 47 boats.
