Brunswick dropped its first game of the year on Wednesday afternoon at Cosby Field, falling to Lawrenceville by a score of 7-6.
With the loss, the Bruins move to 7-1 on the season.
Despite strong defensive efforts from poles Colin Mulshine and Will Donovan, as well as goalie Luke Schlank — and a five-point day on offense from Tomas Delgado — ’Wick found itself trailing the Big Red 7-3 in the fourth quarter.
The Bruins closed the gap to one with just over a minute to play but could not net the equalizer before the buzzer sounded.
’Wick visits Darien High School on Saturday for a 1 p.m. face-off.
