Basketball Falls to GFA, Chisom Okpara Nets Career-High 35 Points
Greens Farms broke open a 23-23 game with a 21-3 run against Brunswick in the first half, as the Dragons held on for a 77-67 win in FAA action in Dann Gym on Thursday. Chisom Okpara led the Bruins (2-12, 1-8) with a career-high 35 points.
In a back-and-forth beginning of the first half there were seven lead changes before Chisom Okpara netted a three-pointer, tying the game at 23-23 with 5:10 left in the first half.
Following the Okpara trey, Greens Farms closed out the first half with the decisive 21-3 run, as the visitors took a 44-26 lead into the intermission.
Trailing 61-41 near the midway point of the second half, Brunswick outscored Greens Farms 26-16 over the final 8:15 of the game for the 77-67 final.
Just three Bruins scored in the game. Colin Mulshine netted a career-high 20 points and Ryan Mulshine posted a season-high 12 points, as Okpara set a career mark with 35 points.
The Bruins return to action in league action at King on Friday, February 1.
