Burkinshaw and Stephenson Named to All-USA Lacrosse Team

Recent Brunswick graduates Patrick Burkinshaw and Wilson Stephenson were named to the American Family Insurance All-USA Boys Lacrosse Team. Burkinshaw, a goalie from Madison, Conn., garnered a first-team nod, while Stephenson, a defenseman from Greenwich, Conn., was a third-team selection.

 

Burkinshaw, an acrobatic netminder, made 120 saves this season and 130 stops in 2017. The University of Virginia lacrosse scholarship awardee was a quad-captain for the Bruins in 2018.

 

Stephenson, who earned a scholarship to play lacrosse at Duke University next year, collected 45 ground balls this season. The physical defenseman was also a quad-captain for Brunswick this past season.

 

The talented duo helped the Bruins to an excellent 16-1 record and a share of the New England West 1 title. Brunswick finished the season ranked sixth in the nation in the Under Armour/Inside Lacrosse poll.
