Brunswick skated past Hill at Hartong Rink on Saturday, 4-1. With the win, the Bruins improve to 9-5-1 overall, while remaining undefeated at home (5-0) this season. Brunswick has a pair of home games next week, beginning with a contest against Portledge on Wednesday afternoon.
Cooper Moore opened the scoring for the Bruins, netting his third goal of the season on a power play at 8:21 of the first period.
Brunswick’s Grey Owens made it a 2-0 contest with just over a minute left in the first period. Owens’ tally was his second of the season.
In the second period, Aaron Aboodi scored his fifth goal of the season, giving the hosts a 3-0 lead at 9:40.
Following a Hill goal in the waning minutes on the third period, Charles Shaffer lit the lamp less than a minute later, thwarting any thought of a Hill School Blues comeback. Shaffer’s fifth goal of the season capped the scoring in the 4-1 Bruins victory.
