Canterbury scored four unanswered goals in the first 10 minutes of the game, but the Bruins ultimately skated away with an 8-4 victory.
Charlie Stevens got the scoring going with 4:10 remaining in the first, and Jack O’Connor shrunk the lead to two in the final minute of the period in a 3v3 situation due to multiple penalties.
Sebi DeAngelis came out of the locker room with a vengeance to start the second, netting an unassisted beauty at the end of his first shift. Teddy Cooney then put the tying goal in halfway through the second, and Matt Fry gave Brunswick the lead with 5:06 left in the stanza. 5-4 Brunswick after two.
The home team couldn’t keep up with Brunswick in the third, with DeAngelis and Fry each earning short-handed goals. Jack Konzerowsky also scored in the third after a sweet behind-the-back pass from Fry.
Brunswick moves to 10-1 on the season, with a chance to avenge its only loss against Frederick Gunn at Hartong Rink next Saturday – 2 p.m. puck drop.
