Ski Team Caps Best Season in School History

Brunswick Alpine completed its best season in team history on Monday at Mount Southington, as the Bruins were named the CISL Class S (Small Schools) Champions.

The entire team skied its best race of the season when it counted tonight. In an extremely close race, Brunswick earned second place at the CISL State Open, falling by only 1.54 seconds on a combined basis to Fairfield Prep, the Class L champions.

On an individual basis, Brunswick placed two racers in the top 10 and four in the top 20. Sophomore racer Patch Leonard made the podium, placing second, laying down two great runs. Senior Cameron Shipman placed sixth in his final team race as a Bruin, while sophomores Ollie Leonard placed 16th and Ryan Warner placed 19th.
