Brunswick squash owns a distinguished history since it officially became a varsity sport in 1973. Current coach Jim Stephens took over the program in 1984 and led the team to remarkable results.
Following a 12-0 campaign in 2017-18, the Varsity "A" team won its third high school team national championship (2015, 2016, 2018) and 16th New England title. The program has participated in the national finals on 11 different occasions since its inception in 2004. Coach Stephens has led the Bruins to seven straight national finals appearances (2012-18).
Prior to the high school national championships, coach Stephens entered his talented 2001 and 2002 teams in the USSRA Five-Man National Team Championships, winning the B-flight in 2001. The Bruins finished ahead of several colleges and two adult club teams on their way to the 2001 title. Brunswick is the only high school program to ever participate in the USSRA event.
The squash program supports a middle school team, a JV team, Varsity "B" team, along with the Varsity "A" squad. Home matches are played at the Stephens Squash Center, which houses the Boynton Stadium Court.
