The Brunswick football program has seen tremendous success over the last few decades. The coaches focus on developing talent at all levels, creating an environment where each player can learn the fundamentals of the game. While the Bruins face an always challenging NEPSAC Class A schedule against some of the best boarding school programs in the region, Brunswick has done quite well against the competition, making 14 NEPSAC Bowl appearances since 1989, including six post-season bids since 2013.

Numerous Brunswick football players have continued their careers at the college level, as former Bruins peppered the rosters of NCAA Division I, Division II, and Division III programs across the country. Success for a handful of Brunswick alums has not stopped in college, as a handful of Bruin alums have gone on to play in the NFL.
Last season, the Bruins earned a record of 7-3 and appeared in the NEPSAC Class "A" Mike Silipo Bowl game.
After earning its first-ever Class A “Top” Bowl game victory — as well as its first-ever win in a bowl game over a non-ISL opponent — the Brunswick football team was well represented on the Northeast Prep Football Conference All-League teams announced this week.
Brunswick topped Trinity-Pawling, 24-0, on Friday evening in Pawling, ultimately earning a NEPSAC bowl bid when the matchups were released on Sunday. The Bruins (8-1) will take on Choate on Saturday in Wallingford at 1 p.m.
Brunswick scored to reclaim the lead with 5:52 remaining and got a huge stop from its defense on the following possession to earn a 22-19 New England Prep Conference win over Cheshire Academy on Friday night up Route 84 in central Connecticut.
Brunswick's football squad picked up its first victory of the 2022 season — and the first for new Head Coach Wayne McGillicuddy — on Saturday afternoon, cruising past Suffield Academy, 28-7, in New England Prep Football Conference action from Holmes Field on the campus of Suffield Academy.
