    2023 - 2024

Brunswick hit the water with a competitive swimming and diving team for the first time in 2012-13. With the completion of Mehra Natatorium in 2014, Head Coach Aaron Montgomery has built the program into a consistent contender at the Division 1 New England Championships, posting a pair of third-place finishes in 2017 and 2018 and second-place finishes in 2019, 2020, and 2022.

The Bruins continue to make waves nationally, earning recognition from the National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (NISCA). The Bruins finished 2021-22 ranked eighth in the country for prep schools and 14th against all high schools from coast to coast. The 2022 Bruins finished the year with seven new NEPSAC records and 11 All-American swims, including the fourth fastest time (1:28.51) in the 200Medley Relay, 12th fastest time (1:22.82) in the 200FR Relay, and 19th fastest time (3:03.60) in the 400FR Relay. Graduating Bruins have a legacy that includes two national records, one Eastern Interscholastic Championship record, and nine New England records. Last season, Brunswick won four NEPSAC gold medals at the 2023 New England Championship Meet, and the same team produced five All-Americans: Peter Michalik ’23, Patrick Mullen ’23, Connor Ohl ’26, Ryan Ohl ’24, and Ben Wu ’24. The team also produced six members of the 2023-2023 All-NEPSAC Team: Jack Morningstar ’24, Patrick Mullen ’23, Rory O’Connor ’25, Connor Ohl ’26, Ryan Ohl ’24, and Ben Wu ’24.

Brunswick competes in the FAA as well and has won five of the past seven FAA Championships. Additionally, the team will compete in regional events such as the Eastern Interscholastic Championships against some of the best swim programs on the East Coast. This level of competition pushes the Bruins to consistently challenge themselves to be relevant locally and nationally.
