Worldwide ‘Hour of Code’ Returns to ’Wick

The Hour of Code, one of the largest single-day education events in the world, will give students and teachers at Brunswick the opportunity to join millions around the globe in completing an hour of coding activities.

’Wick’s Computer Science Department has partnered with the Seattle-based non-profit Code.org to promote and celebrate Computer Science Education Week in all grade levels. 

All exercises are designed to demystify computer science and show that anybody can learn the basics of computer programming. 

Boys across all school divisions will be encouraged throughout the week to try their hand at coding and app-designing — with each programming exercise created with the goal of strengthening a student’s computational skills.
