Swimmers from Brunswick, Greenwich Academy, Sacred Heart, and Greenwich High School — 32 in all — united to raise money and awareness for the Horizons Program on Saturday, April 21.
The 4th annual event, organized by the Horizons at Brunswick Club and the Brunswick swim team, included a four-stroke, competitive swim demonstration and instructional time in the pool for Horizons participants.
Following the group swim, the four schools competed in a 3000-yard relay (120 lengths of the pool).
In May, Horizons at Brunswick will grow to 90 students, K-5th grade. Continued support helps fund implementation of the innovative middle school program — and helps participants, as they grow, to stay solidly on the path to becoming independent and self-directed learners.
