The Brunswick Middle School math team took top honors at the Southwest Connecticut MathCounts competition at Fairfield University on Saturday, February 3.
Brunswick competed against 20 other teams at the event.
Seventh grader William Ewald finished in second place overall among 175 students, while fellow classmate Glen Cahilly finished fifth. Sixth grader Andrew Tu finished eighth.
The team will travel to Hartford in March to compete for the state championship.
