'Wick Students Rally to Support Texas Hurricane Victims
In response to Headmaster Philip’s letter to the Brunswick community — asking boys to consider a donation of any size to help those who have lost so much in Texas — students from all school divisions responded by raising $4,103.38.
All donations received will be given, in their entirety, to the American Red Cross in Houston, Texas, to aid in the recovery efforts following Hurricane Harvey.
“We asked our boys for these efforts to be entirely their own and for parents not to supplement any donations,” Director of Community Service Johnny Montanez said.
“For them to respond so promptly and generously is a proud moment for Brunswick — and certainly shows that our boys are thinking of others during Houston's great time of need.”
