Computer Science Students Shine at All-Star Contest

Upper School students traveled to Newbury Park High School in Newbury Park, Calif., this past weekend to compete in the All-Star Contest of the American Computer Science League — bringing home a sixth-place finish in the Senior 3 Division and an eighth-place finish in the Intermediate 3 Division.

’Wick team members — including Tallon Hodge ’19, Gordon Kamer ’18, Christian Hartch ’19, Jack Montinaro ’18, Andrew Rogozinski ’17, and Cole Pierce ’19 — were the only participants from Fairfield County to compete in the international event.

Hodge was an Intermediate Division top scorer for 10th grade (9/12 points), while Kamer was a Senior Division top scorer for 11th grade (10/12 points).

For their cumulative scores in ACSL contests till date, Hartch and Jamie Meindl ’20 tied for first place in the Intermediate 3 Contest (Northern Division).
