Ninth-Ranked Hockey Loses at Gunnery

Ninth-ranked Brunswick fell behind 3-0 to Gunnery, and the Highlanders skated away with a 5-1 win over the visiting Bruins on Friday night. Brunswick (15-8-4) has a quick turnaround, hosting Northwood from Lake Placid, N.Y. in a non-league contest on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Hartong Rink.
 
Following a trio of first period goals by Gunnery, Patrick Burkinshaw netted the Bruins’ lone goal at 13:27 of the second period.
 
Gunnery (19-8-0) tacked on a pair of third period tallies for the 5-1 final.
 
The Highlander victory counters an earlier 3-0 setback from the Bruins on February 10.
