Brunswick lost to RCDS by a razor-thin 14-13 margin on Tuesday at Ramsing Gym at Greenwich Academy. In a rematch of an earlier 16-11 Wildcat victory back in January, the Bruins nearly pulled out the win in the final home match of the season. Brunswick (1-5) has two remaining contests this season, both on the road.
Greenwich Academy (4-2) also lost to the Wildcats by a similar score of 14-13.
In the foil event, Brunswick fell to the Wildcats, 6-3. Highlighting the team’s performance was Ben Pasteelnick’s 2-1 mark against his opponent.
The Bruins dropped a 5-4 decision in the epee, despite a 3-0 performance by Marc Baghadjian.
Brunswick won the sabre matchup, as Paul Grasso (2-1), George Burke (2-0), and Thomas Burke (2-1) each scored multiple team points for the Bruins.
