Brunswick fell to undefeated St. Luke’s on “White Out Night” in Dann Gym on Thursday, 69-56. Following the conference setback, the Bruins are 2-6 overall and are 1-3 in FAA action.
The Bruins opened an early 6-4 lead against St. Luke’s (9-0, 5-0), however the visitors closed out the first half with a 26-11 run, taking a 30-17 lead into the break.
In the second half, St. Luke’s lead hovered around 12 points in the opening minutes. At the 10:30 mark, Brunswick’s Graham Pierce collected a rebound and a lay-up, cutting the St. Luke's lead to 46-36.
The 10-point differential was as close as the Bruins would get to cracking the double-figures deficit, as St. Luke’s went on to win 69-56.
Pierce and Muna Nwana each scored nine points, while Cam Kelly chipped in eight points for the Bruins.
Brunswick returns to action on Friday, January 13, with an FAA contest at Hopkins.
