Problem Solvers: Math Team Qualifies for New Englands
The Brunswick math team qualified for the New England regional competition by way of its fifth-place finish at the CT State Tournament, held at Greenwich High School on April 6.
For the Bruins — with team members including Tate Huffman ’17, Andrew Israel ’16, Jack Montinaro ’18, Muna Nwana ’18, Keshav Raghavan ’17, and Andrew Rogozinski ’17 — it marks the first time they have secured a bid to the New England meet since 2013.
In addition, Raghavan and Rogozinski, along with 45 students statewide, earned spots on the CT math team, which will compete at the American Regions Mathematics League’s (ARML) annual national competition in June.
