A First For ’Wick Tennis: Turchetta ’15 Named All-American
Senior Jack Turchetta — bound for Columbia University in the fall — has been named an All-American by The National High School Tennis All-American Foundation (NHSTAAF), a non-profit corporation formed to promote high school boys and girls tennis and to recognize the most outstanding high school players and teams from throughout the United States.
Turchetta, who led Brunswick to a New England Class B Tennis Championship last weekend, is the first Bruin tennis player to be honored with the national distinction in the history of the School.
Each year, All-American awards are presented to the top 40 boys and top 40 girls in the United States, with the majority of those honored moving on to compete at the highest collegiate tennis levels, and a few even advancing to the professional circuits.
Turchetta is the lone New England representative, male or female, on the 2015 list of All-Americans.
