At the Interscholastic Sailing Association (ISSA) High School Doublehanded Championship — held at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., on May 9–10 — Brunswick finished seventh among twenty competitors for the Mallory Trophy.
Newport Harbor High School (Newport Beach, Calif.), St. Thomas Aquinas High School (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.), and Pine View School (Osprey, Fla.) were the top finishers in school sailing’s oldest race, dating back to 1930.
Brunswick’s team — led by skippers Jack Parkin ’17 and Chris Keller ’15, and crewmates Henry Harris ’16, Bay Hodge ’17, Andrew Kjorlien ’15, Peter Schneider ’16, and Rhett Ullmann ’17 — trailed only St. George’s School among New England racers.
The Bruins’ finish is their best in School history.
