'Wick Delegates Earn Top Honors in Nation's Capital
More than 3,100 participants, including a team of eight Brunswick students, convened at Georgetown University for TheNorth American Invitational Model United Nations (NAIMUN) — one of the oldest UN simulations for high school students in the world.
Throughout the four-day event, held February 12–15, students simulate their role as delegates to the United Nations from a particular nation and serve as representatives of that country’s policies.
Brunswick’s team — led by faculty advisor Mikel Berrier and consisting of George Goodfriend ’15, Andrew Israel ’16, Jack Kulesh ’17, Jack Stefanou ’17, Keshav Raghavan ’17, Diego Jasson ’18, Wesley Peisch ’18, and Ryan Kahn ’18 — was awarded “Outstanding Small Delegation.”
Jasson ("Best Delegate"), Kulesh ("Outstanding Delegate"), Goodfriend ("Honorable Mention"), and Raghavan ("Verbal Commendation") each earned individual recognition.
