Camo Night on Ice Raises $3,000 for Wounded Warrior

On Wounded Warrior Night — in front of a jam-packed crowd at Hartong Rink —Brunswick rode the leadership of senior co-captains Mike Faulkner and Tommy Dunleavy to a 6-3 win against Albany Academy.

Lance Corporal Nancy Schiliro, who lost an eye after her vehicle was hit by a roadside bomb in Iraq in 2005, was in attendance to drop the ceremonial puck at center ice before the start of the contest.

The 9th-ranked Bruins, now 19–5 on the season, wore desert camouflage sweaters to raise awareness of the Wounded Warrior Project — a veterans' service organization offering a variety of programs, services, and events for wounded veterans of the military actions following the events of September 11, 2001.

’Wick’s Wounded Warrior Club sold t-shirts and hats throughout the week, supporting the project by raising more than $3,000.
