Varsity tennis had a good 4-3 win over Andover at the RCDS indoor tennis courts on Saturday afternoon.
The team started strong by capturing the doubles point: At #3 doubles, Johnny Riehl and Jack Sieg showed great chemistry and won the first match 8-3. At #2 doubles, Caleb Zimmerman and Santos Gunningham proved too strong and won 8-5.
As the match headed into the singles, Zimmerman at #2 and Gunningham at #3 were firing on all cylinders and looking unstoppable. They were the first to finish and put Brunswick up 3-0. At #4, Riehl was playing up a position and his opponent was simply the better player on the day and pulled one back for Andover.
At #1, Will Monahan was already up a set and a break, and a few games later would clinch the match for Brunswick.
The #5 and #6 decided to play shorter sets at this point since the match was over.

Brunswick has a week of regular practice lined up before Easter Weekend and then its next match will be at home against St. Luke's on Tuesday, April 11.
